Hi all,
I am using basic msi, i gave the path for msxml dlls as TempFolder and from there using script i am copying the files to system32 folder. It is giving an assertion saying
"The windows installer cannot update the system file msxml2r.dll, because the file is protected by windows.you may need to update operating system for this program to work corrcetly"

I am getting this assertion when i try to install on windows XP, but not having this problem when i try to install on windows 2000.

Can anyone help me in this regard.

As the message says these are windows protected files and can hence only be installed by Microsoft setups / updates. Alternatively you can try to use the relevant merge modules to install the files.
