Anyone know of an online resource where the registry keys for common applications are provided?  I need to find out whether 25 (or so) third-party applications are installed.

I may also need to know where said application is installed.

I just don't want to install all these crazy apps and decipher registry changes.  Furthermore, it is not possible to install different versions of some apps on the same box; in a few cases the same app will have a totally different key.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I've been kind of thinking about this one in the back of my mind ever since I read it.

I don't know though.  That's a lot of apps.

Obviously one I idea would be to look for key filenames (i.e. executables, DLLs, etc.).  Registry keys would of course be more effective, but I don't know of web sites which would list that information.

Sorry not too helpful, but If I think of something better, I'll let you know.
