Am having problems installing updated EXEs for the same app using ISWI.  I need the install package to simply install the EXE again.  But it goes into REPAIR mode if previously installed.

I have not yet dug thru the UPDATE TABLE stuff to determine how to avoid this.

But was wondering if IS6.3 does the same thing - repair mode that is?  Or does it NOT care if the program was previously installed and does in fact install the EXE again (and again).

Anyone know?

IS 6 works quite similar (although the underlying technique is quite different). Did you read the article about updates and patches with Windows Installer here on InstallSite?

So IS6 cant be easily configured to simply re-install the EXE again and again?

Had not read the article.  Where would i find it?

For Windows Installer:
Windows Installer -> Tools & Tips -> Updates and Patches

For IS6:
IS5/6 Samples -> Uninstallation -> Avoid Maintenance Mode in IS6
