I have created a multilanguage installation and everyting works fine except the setpup.exe( the final media is 1 file) . This file is an ANSI exe and it displays wierd characters during setup initialization when installation is started in an eastern language.
Someone had this problem before?
Is there another solution than launching the setup.exe wiht /S ?

Are you using InstallShield's setup.exe or your own?

Unfortunately it is Installshield's setup.exe ( I would've already converted to Unicode if this would me mine)
I opened setup.exe with Dependency Walker and I saw that it imports 'A' ended functions - so its an ANSI module - . I thought they had a UNICODE version somewhere in redistributables but no way . Also I tried Isdev 9 -same problem-.
Actually this problem is easy to reproduce.
First it's needed an OS that can display Chinese.
Then a create a multilanguage installation with wizard (Chinese for example)
Build a one file (setup.exe) media with languages dialog.
Launching in chinnese will display a initialization dialog similar to the one in attachment -choosing a small initialization dialog in media propreties wont make things better.
So everything is fine except initialization dialog.
The only solution I know is launching the setup.exe with /S

Does setting "Small initialization dialog" to yes help?
Did you report this as a bug to InstallShield?

http://mysupport.installshield.com seems to be the best method.
