I have a third party Installshield 5.1 project, including all of the Installsheild source.   However, I don't have the application sources linked in by the File Groups.

I want to modify Setup.rul but since I don't have the application sources I can't rebuild the media.

Can I recompile and use my new setup with the old cab files?   Which files would I need to replace?   Can I do the compilation with 5.5 or does it have to be done in 5.1?

You can compile the script and replace the setup.ins file in the disk image with your new compiled script.
Don't know whether the 5.1 engine will execute a 5.5 script.
