Hi,
I have 2 products of the same version and of different builds. I install the first product and then install the second product on top of it.When i open the first product the product goes in auto repair mode .
I went to the MSI log and noted down the files and replaced them even though they were existing in the expected directory.
Can u help me out in solving this. i donot want to disable to windows installer resielncy mode.

Which of the following codes are identical or different in the two packages:
- ProductCode
- PackageCode
- components codes (GUIDs of all components)
Do they install to the same directory or different directories?

HI ,
My product code is different and package code is changes for each build of the product.But my component code is only identical.
The product install to the same directories.

If you run WinNT/2000/XP/2003, check your eventlog. It tells you which component was repaired.
