I have been tasked to see if it is possible to package a Microsoft XP or 2K hotfix/security patch. I have tried using the support files in both the setup and disk1 sections but both end up erroring out. Any suggestions or comments?

Hmm...Havent really tried these. But IMHO, these security patches change operating system files. Thus its not recommended to package them.

While it may be technically possible to create a MSI wrapper around an operating system update, Micsrosoft doesn't recommend this IIRC.
Repackaging an OS update as MSI is most likely not feasible, will not work, and is probably also a violation fo the license agreement.

I was forced to try this (didn't want to even try). Forget it, these updates must be run as is.
