Hello,

I have a problem with a project created with DevStudio 9. We have tested the setup on many clients running W2K an WXP. Everything was ok.

Now there is a customer with a WinXP version that gets the following error message when trying to install our software:

Errorcode: -5009 : 0x8002802b

Errorinformation:
>Ctor\ObjectWrapper.cpp (163)
>Ctor\ObjectWrapper.cpp (384)
>Kernel\Component.cpp (1161)
>Ctor\ObjectWrapper.cpp (34)
>Ctor\DriverWrapper.cpp (31)
>Kernel\Component.cpp (1150)
>Kernel\CABFile.cpp (384)
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1655)
$9.1.0.429PAK
@Windows XP (2600) BT_OTHER 5786.30479

Has anyone a suggestion what might be the problem?

Best regards

Frank

I found this inside IS help. It suggests you contact tech support.

-5009 The schema Summary Stream must be 200 or later. Check the InstallShield Knowledge Base for information about this error, or request technical support.

I think the error code in IS manual refers to the build process only.

"The following table contains a listing of error and warning codes that may occur during the build process, and troubleshooting tips should they occur."

My problem occurs only at runtime.

I have contacted tech-support. If we find an solution I will let you know.

Hello again,

maybe the solution to my problem will help someone in the future. On the target machine perform the following steps:

- clean out the TEMP directory
- delete the... <PROGRAM FILES>\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\09
- Make sure you have sufficient COM permissions. For information on how to troubleshoot this, see KB article... http://support.insta...ticleid=q104986

Best regards
