Hello,
I have an install that among other things performs a CA that runs an executable. (OSQL.exe. It is part of SQLServer.) The setup runs flawlessly under normal circumstances, but when running the install from a terminal services session, the CA fails to execute. My thought is that it may have something to do with the way the scripting engine resolves folders, but this is only a guess.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Kenny Lee

MSI installations often don't do what you expect unless you are explicitly in install mode. You can get there by using Add/Remove Programs and doing the install from there, or you can put the session into install mode with a change user /install command.
You may be right about folders, because Terminal Services configurations are user-dependent, so even if you are in install mode, you can't use things like mapped drives that are user-specific.
