I have 2 questions :
1) do I need the MSI file for Installation or is setup.exe enough ?
2) and If I need it - how can I prevent other to open it for editing ?

1) Yes, you need the msi file. In fact in many cases you do not need setup.exe, just double click the msi file.
2) There is no way to stop the msi being editied if someone really wants to. But take a look at the Summary Information Stream setting Security to 4 will stop ORCA. Although I susect it possible to export all the tables and reimport with out Security.
