Stefan,

Is the XML file modification utility only for MSI installs or will it work with InstallScript installs?

From InstallShields announcement:

QUOTE
For Windows installation developers, InstallShield 10.5 can be used to create installations which will easily edit any XML file on the target machine without having to create a custom action.

InstallShield uses the term 'Windows installation' for MSI installs.

I hope this function will be used for installscript installs.

XML file editing is available for both MSI and pure InstallScript projects.
