This question may sound silly.... But i often get confused whether Windows Installer puts product's reg. keys in <HKLM>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer (or)
<HKCR>\Installer??

I thought it depends on the OS used. But for Windows 2000, i see the reg. keys for the installed product in both the places and that drives me crazy.

Please help.... Also let me know if there is any proper documention about the various registry keys created by the MSI upon installation of a product.
