Sorry for the delay in replying.
I'm been out of town at a customer site almost since I posted my original question.
I truly appreciate the reply.
I hope to be a little clearer with this explanation.
In trouble shooting installation issues, it would be great to determine if certain objects are already registered.
IE: .DLL's
Thanks to Install Shields knowledge base, I know how to tell IF an object NEEDS to be registered, but I don't know how to tell "IF" an object has been successfully registered.
What I don't know is if there is a particular registry entry or a series of registry entries that, determine/s if an object has been successfully registered.
Any how, that, is what I am trying to learn how to do.
HOW, can I tell if a particular object is already registered.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
