Hi,
I am confused.
I use Wise for Windows Installer and there is a property named INSTALLDIR and there is also a key in directory named INSTALLDIR in the Directory table. Are they the same thing?

Yes they are the same....
The Directory entry is also added to the list of SecureCustomProperties...... so that it's passed to the server process during a managed install

When the directories are resolved during the CostFinalize action, the keys in the Directory table become properties set to directory paths.
