i'd like to know how to extract the path for a file contained in the file groups panel..

for example, i have a file to be installed in C:\Program Files\Company\Program\Example\Graphics\Example.txt

in the file group panel, you can see,
File Group Example (which will be installed to targetdir) and links = Graphics\Example.txt

in the script can i retrieve this path ( "Examples\Graphics\Example.txt") ??

thanks..

I don't think you can retrieve this path. But you could create that subfolder in your file group.

what i am supposed to do is:

in order to install twice the same files, the files already installed before must be renamed in order to do a back up... and not to be overwritten...

but i can't do a script for some files with their name etc... i have to do this in general for all the files which will be installed in the future

i don't understand myself and my english, do you ?

thanks...
