i can only see ways to execute an .EXE file using custom actions. is there any way to execute a windows batch file (.BAT) using custom actions?

Could you just create a custom action that kicks of the batch file?

In the installation project, u can call a custom action to launch cmd.exe and pass the bat as the command line argument.
