Hello,

i'm new to merge modules and need to install the MSDE (side question: is SQL Server 2000 Desktop Edition = MSDE 2000 ?). I added the 7.02 IDE MSDE 1.0 MM to one of my required features, and didn't supply an ISS file.

So far so good, the exe file was added to my installation, and the GUI tells me it installs MSDE, but after setup is complete there's nothing of MSDE on the target system.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to install MSDE   .

SQL Server 2000 Desktop Edition is equivalent to MSDE 2000. Same thing, new name. I don't use IS Developer so Im not familiar with their MSDE MM's. But I use the MM's off of the SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2 CD and they seem to work fine. I also found this site, which may be helpful to you. Good Luck.
