Hi,
I have craeted a small patch(Say patch 5) using InstallShield X Patch design view which should update main release or release+patch 4.

I had created patch 4 using InstallShield QuickPatch previously.

Now because of some reason, I can update my main release using patch 5, but If I try to update {release+patch 4}, It doesn't update any files.

I have run validation which doen't give any error.

Any help will be appreciated.

Logfile for Update of {release+patch 4} is attached here.

No attachment (please ZIP your log file to make sure it#s less than 100 KB)
Look out for SELMGR messages in the log.

It looks like the REINSTALL property isn't set. As a result none of the files gets reinstalled (all action requests are null). As a test perform a repair after you installed the patch. this should actually update the files.

BTW this is the worst case of ***Log Line Misssing*** I've ever seen. Is this an extremely slow machine?

Stefan,
I have set following command line in Patch property "MSI CommandLine Args":
REINSTALLMODE=omus REINSTALL=ALL

but still I can't get it work.

Some how update.exe doesn't seem to set this property properly:-(
any further ideas?

And my build machine is very fast(Dual processor, 1 gig ram). I was also wondering about "Missing Log line" instances!

Thanks a lot.
