While repackaging some applications using WFWI2.01, I discovered that some registry entries were not picked up by the scans; and some others were not recorded as the wrong reg data type. Could anyone suggest a tool which faithfully records registry changes, and from which the recorded data can be spliced into an msi file? Many thanks.

I have used InstallRite 2.5c or InstallWatch 2.5c for this with great success.  It will export the registry entries it finds into a *.reg file and will allow you to delete the ones you're not interested in before you do it.  They're a great tools and they're freeware!!  You can find a link to them under Related Tools.
