It`s my first attempt on creating a .msi package.
All I need to do is package this app into a .msi,
the application contains more then just one file setup.exe
it has several files and folders.
How do i do it? What softwares?
Thanks,

Easiest way is to do a snapshot. You basically do a pre installation snapshot of a clean OS and compare that with another snapshot taken after the install. These tools then convert those changes to a project file which you can compile onto an MSI. There are tools available from Installshield and WISE to do this. I personally prefer WISE because it is ledd 'wizardy'.

I am not sure I understand the question, nor the answer given. What exactly are you trying to do?

I thought he just meant a legacy install with setup.exe and folders eg. how it looks in Windows Explorer when you dump the CD in.
