Can anyone tell me how to install with the use of Windows Installer a device driver under Windows 2000 without an INF file
The device Driver I want to install is the NokiaSuite3.sys It is a hidden device driver

The only info I found concerning this theme is in Microsofts Windows Installer help. In the "Installer Database Reference" for the "ServiceInstall Table" you can find:
The following types of service are unsupported.
Type of service Value Description
SERVICE_KERNEL_DRIVER 0x00000001 A driver service.
SERVICE_FILE_SYSTEM_DRIVER 0x00000002 A file system driver service.
Maybe there's another way to install a device driver, but currently it's not supported officially. I've been reading it somewhere else, too; and they said that device drivers still have to be installed with *.inf files - sorry, but I don't know anymore where it was.
