Hi all,

I have to install a complex product with some COM+ components, ActiveX, snapins.

I experience some problems when installing on specific machines: some components are not registering, but when I try to use them, I get the WinInstaller dialog which is trying to install the component. This happens only on some machines. Of course, I asked to a "local" installation.

The problem becames more aufull when I'm using a single setup.exe file.

Can I get maybe an error when WinInstaller cannot install/register one component?

Can I disable the "Install on first use" feature from the Custom Setup dialog?

Please give me some tips!

I think there are only sub-features in the features that can be installed "on first use": to fix your problem, you can create a dummy component in the features that don't have any.
