I have a custom action that removes some users and groups. I only want this to happen on uninstall. The problem is that i also use this msi as a major upgrade. When the major upgrade uninstalls the app, the CA runs and my users are gone. I have tried the condition of (IS_MAJOR_UPGRADE) but it seems to not be set in the install execute sequence, although it is set in the install UI sequence. Why is this property not set in the execute sequence? Is ther a way to tell a major upgrade?

Try the UPGRADINGSPRODUCTCODE property.
