Hi,

We have below query from customer who is trying to uninstall our software using silent option (/qn). I have very limited knowledge in InstallShield so posting query here. Please respond if you know answer or have some clue.

"If running the uninstall interactively, there’s a warning that a reboot is required, and I can cancel the dialog. I can continue without reboot, but several services are restarted then. Would it be possible to get this “warning” in silent mode as well and then stop the uninstallation?"

I can see below settings under Property Manager in installshield project (using InstallShield 2009 - Premier Edition, Version 15, Service Pack 2)

REBOOT = ReallySuppress

RebootYesNo = Yes

RestartManagerOption = CloseRestart

Thanks.

Well, the purpose of /qn is to run silently, without requiring user interaction. Try /qb instead to see if that's closer to what you want.
