How to alter a key in the registration without exc

I alter the registration with the function RegDBSetKeyValueEx, but in case I cancel the installation or remove later, InstallShield excludes my key. What should do to alter the key without excluding her.

What do you mean by IS excludes her? Also, exactly what registry value are you setting in the first place?
