I am using a custom action which launches an exe and depending on the return code I need to terminate the installation. I'm using installshield for windows installer 1.1 CA wizard to accept return value but the on running the install I get error code 1721. I tried all I logically could but haven't found any fix yet.
Could you provide any suggestions or pointers?

Saurabh, do you have a custom action that calls another program, like an .exe or another .msi? I ask because that error message (Windows Installer 1721, There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run.) can indicate that the path to the .exe you may be calling can't be resolved.
