Please help me. I'm trying to make a program that would be launched from CD. how can I tell Installer not to install/copy application from CD but only greate a shortcut for the appluication on the CD??

You need to set the components/features to favor running from the source. This can be done from InstallShield, by setting the "Remote Installation" property to "Favor Source". Alternatively edit the MSI file with Orca and make sure that each of the values in the Attributes column (both Feature and Component tables) is an odd number (flag 0x1 is set)
