Hi,
what is the function of the File Group Property "potentially locked"?

I want to install the following file types:
1. Exe or Dlls
2. Textfiles with programm texts
3. Parameterfiles (only read by the software)
4. Parameterfiles (read and written by the software).

How shall I set the property for each file type?

Thank you
Ralf Serafin

Its use is to handle the case where files, typically system DLLs, are active by the open application(s) and therefore cannot be properly overwritten.

As a result of this setting, adjustments are made so that the previously locked files are copied on the next reboot, before they can become active again.

In your case, you should only need to set it for the file group containing such system files.  I prefer to have a separate group for these files and my program files.
