I want to deploy MSI packages per user. Some of these MSI packages contains only a shortcut to an executable on a network drive. The problem is, that an msi package cannot contain an advertised shortcut which doesn´t point to a file within the installation. So when I assign such a package per user, the user doesn´t gets his shortcut, only after he clicks on repair or install, in the add/remove software box.
Installing per computer cannot be a solution, because we want to deploy the packages to a selected group of users.

So: How can I deploy shortcuts to users, without user intervention??? (With AD)
