Hi all,
I'm trying to perform a silent install over shh. The problem seems to have something to do with the dialogue boxes that cannot popup over an ssh connection.
Has anyone tried this before? Is it possible?
This is part of my automated test suite, where I am trying to install our product on remote machines. We're a multi-platform product that uses InstallShield 6 on Windows and packages for unix.
Thanks,
Adam

I've only seen SSH used in a telnet connection, so which connection/protocol are using for it here?

I'm running my build/tests from a linux machine. I connect via ssh to my windows box, which has cygwin on it and consequently a sshd server. I'm trying to perform a silent install over this ssh connection and the install hangs.

Interesting setup. However, I've only done a little with Linux and what you're describing is way over my head, so good luck.
