Please forgive my rookie questions.
I'm using ISDS 9. I've followed the help links around in circles but I can't seem to find any combination of actions that lets me link to files dynamically. I added a bunch of components with the component wizard; in all their File views, there's a context menu item "Dynamic File Linking" which is disabled. I added an empty component; same result.
What am I missing?

A doofus is me -- I was using the MSI database type aka "Direct Edit" mode. I understand why dynamic linking is not an option here. I predict my next question will be on why "build one compressed whatever" gives me one msi and one cab, but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.
