can different components be installed to different physical path by using installshield6?(in other words,

Yes, this can definitely be accomplished. I'm doing it with myself. Although I had to go back and double check how in order to reply to your post. =)
Basically you can create your own user-defined variables (i.e. "<szVar">) and reference them in the destinations for your file groups.
The function to populate these variables is ComponentSetTarget and it's described in the help file.
