Here is a problem where no matter how I try to assign this component
to a feature install shield blows up afterwards. I have tried hours
worth of deleting and different ways of reassigning with no
success. Installshield blows up on Loading File Table.
Installshield shows in the "Files and Folders" view
[FontsFolder]
Systemfonts_component (with an unassigned red blotch)

This sounds like an Install Shield issue. Maybe contact Install Shield to see if they can provide a fix?

I dont have their inexpensive support they are not interested in problems
even their own without paying the price.

Well I found the smoking font .
Here is what I did. I defined a component which had 9 fonts in it.
SystemFont Feature
----SystemFont_component
------[fontFolder]
---------Files -> 9 font files.
I then associated this with a feature which immediately broke the
robust InstallShield. When I dis-associated this Installshield built a release
happily but did not of course install the fonts.
I looked around for an alternate way of doing the fonts and i found
that the component wizard had a fonts choice which created one
component per font for our special fonts. I then associated all these
fonts with the SystemFont feature and voila it worked.
SystemFont Feature
font1 (component) [fontsFolder]
font2 (component) [fontsFolder]
font3 (component) [fontsFolder]
font4 (component) [fontsFolder]
font5 (component) [fontsFolder]
font6 (component) [fontsFolder]
InstallShield now rocks
Thanks for the viewing
