Hi,

On Win98 and WinME I have the problem that Setup.exe and Ikernel.exe will hang when having installed and rebooted.
The problem appered suddenly some days ago. Our build from Monday worked fine, the build from Tuesday do not. The odd thing is that we haven't made any changes to any source code in between the two builds, but all installed components have been rebuild to get new buildnumbers.
All builds since Tuesday have the same problem.
I do not have any OnRebooted code.
I use InstallShield Pro 6.31.

Ideas??????
Could it be a component registration issue?
Is there a way of getting a detailed log file from InstallShield?

By the way, this is a showstopper for a release. All help would is welcome.

When a reboot is required, COM self-registration is performed after the reboot. If one of your components hangs during self-registration this might be the cause for the problem. Try to manually register them using regsvr on the test machine to see which of them is causing the problem.
