I have two MSI's: A and B.
However, I only want to have to run A. I want B being called by A once A's been installed. Is this possible?

You can create a CustomAction of type 7,23, or 39 which is a nested install. I the SDK docs describe this. If after you read through those and still have some questions, post again.
