Right after Microsoft celebrated the release of Windows Vista, InstallShield released Service Pack 1 for InstallShield 12 Professional and Premier to support the release version of Vista (when IS 12 was released Vista was still in beta).
The Service Pack adds new features like a .NET Framework 3.0 Prerequisite, ability to minimize the number of UAC prompts by advertising as part of prerequisite installation, enhanced validation for the Windows Vista quality program, and a lot of bug fixes. An update for the stand alone build engine is also available.

There is currently no service pack for the Express edition. At this time the SP is only available in English. Localized service packs for the German and Japanese IDE will be available at a later date.
