Here's the situation, we have a user who is installing our software on a machine with IE 6.0. During the initial phase, we run a VBScript Custom Action which is erroring out on their machine with a 2740 error. If they uninstall/reinstall IE, the installation proceeds without incident.
Scrrun.dll is on the machine or should be with IE 6. If this file is not there, we place it.
So this is my question, does anyone know what else/other component might be missing which would cause this to fail? The only real meat of this script is the use of FileSystemObject. Also, according to the user, there is no hyphenated number following the error message, which could provide more detail.
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks!
