I have added entries in the remove file table that I want to be removed if a certain component is installed.   One of the rows I have as follows:
Filekey = dbj, component = vp_journl, filename=journal.cfg, DirProperty = [VIPDIRS], Installmode = 1.  

I have also taken out the brackets for vipdirs which is a property that contains the directory of where the files are located.  Installmode of 1 should remove these files on the installation of component vp_journl.  The files are not removing.   Does anyone know why this is not working.  I don't want to have to create a script because I felt this was easier.

I forgot in addition I am running NT 4 and installer version 2.03.

How is the VIPDIRS property getting set?   Do you have it set up in AppSearch, or are you setting this yourself?

I am reading an ini file and getting the property from that.
