I have no idea about the Installscript projects.
We have one project in which one setup was created through the installshield 6 using some rul file.
I dont know how it generates the project files from the rul and ipr files.
Bad luck but our machine got crashed and we lost all the configuration information about IS 6.
Now we have Installshield 11 and installshield 2010 on two machines.
I however try to configure on both the machines to compile and generate setup using that rul files but it gives some errors.
I have try to get help from installshield community but didnt succeed.
Installshield 11 Help thread post
I need to upgrade and generate the setup using the rul file. Anyone have the idea how can i achieve this.
Any hint how can i proceed to get off the errors.
i.e. Upgrade rul, upgrade project, any doc , link
Any help will be appreciated

Try opening the project in the IDE first, let it convert, see if it builds from the IDE, before you try to build using the command line tool.

Thankx for the reply,
But which file to open I only have the .ipr file and .rul files with some other folders VC++6 Project and all that.
I am very new to it and doenst have any idea from where to start exploring.
After the failed build it upgrades and creates the .ism file.
So that file should be used onwards or what i m confused
