I have now had several users that wish to install the program on a drive other than their C:\ drive, and do not have that much space on their C drive. They then get varying errors based on how much space they have on C.
It has become a pain to instruct them that they need to free up some space on their C drive, even though they have plenty of space on their other drives.
Is there a workaround for this, or at least something to lessen the amount of space needed on the C drive?

Depends on what you install on the C: drive. Some of your files (e.g. in merge modules) may have to be copied to WindowsFolder or SystemFolder which is typically located on the C drive. Your setup may also require space in the TEMP dir, which is also typicall on C:.
Remember that Windows Installer creates temporary backups of all replaced files (for rollback). YOu can disable roll back on these machines and see if that helps.
