We built a basic MSI project with InstallShield X. This generates a setup.exe file with an associated Project.msi file next to it.
When we launch setup.exe, we get the following error message that stops the setup from going further :
"The installation cannot be run by launching directly the MSI package. You must run setup.exe"
Does anybody have any idea on what may generate this???

Check the event log to see if the message is actually coming from your setup. Maybe your setup triggers the repair of another package.
