I have created an application using Visual C++.  The install shield runs without a problem and transfers all of the required files to the specified locations.  My problem is that the icon for the application shortcut defaults to the MFC icon irrespective of the icon file specified within the install shield project.

The destination PC operating system is NT4 SP6.

Note the standard MFC icon does not exist in the application's exe or dlls.

Can any one help.

This might sound silly, but did you check the 16x16 icon in the application's resource? I have forgotten to customize them in the past and when I look at the icon file it seems proper.

Just a thought.
