Hi all,

I'm currently using Wise Installation Studio 7.0 SP1 and I have an .INI file set up to be created in....

Windows
Profiles
All Users
Application Data
OurCompany
OurProduct
AppUpdate.ini

I know this is primarily an InstallShield centric site, but I'm stuck with Wise until I have the time to migrate our setups to InstallShield 2010. sad.gif

When I install on a Windows 7 machine I can't find anything that has been written to Users\Public or Users\Default.

I have no idea what to do here. Please help?

Then, we read from this ini for updating purposes so I'm wondering if CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA is even going to find it if I do get something written/created.

Any assistance, guidance would be most appreciated!!!

I believe ProgramData is the correct location for the all users profile on Windows 7. You don't say how you're creating the file - are you using a hard-coded path, or are you using something like the CommonAppDataFolder property in Windows Installer?

Wise references the CommonAppDataFolder.
