I'm having the following issue:
I have a working installer for a product that includes a COM+ application with several DLL's in it
a new small update was released fo this product, one of the COM+ dll's has changed
I modified the installshield project to refresh the com+ components at built, an created a new installer.
this installer can upgrade the previous version without problems
however, when I create a patch between the two installers, the COM+ registration seems to fail? the new file is copied to the destination computer, but the COM+ registration is not modified.
when I run a repair in this scenario, all is working fine again.
Am I missing something trivial, or is this a bug?
