In ISD7, I've selected the "Disable Remove Button" in the Windows 2000 settings section for my basic MSI project. I've left the "Disable Change" and "Disable Repair" deselected (default).

Now, I find that on Windows NT, my program doesn't appear in the "Add/Remove Programs" list of installed programs. Deselecting the "Disable Remove Button" option makes it appear again.

What I'm trying to achieve is my setup appearing in the Program List, but to disable the no-UI uninstall option in Win2k. I want to ensure that the Change/Modify dialog is shown on all OS's.

That is by design. As a workaround set the ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT property only on Windows 2000/XP

Thanks - setting ARPNOREMOVE under Win2k or greater has the desired effect for me...
