We have 2 products that are deploying VS 2008 SP1 in 2 different ways, both supplied by Microsoft.
One with mergemodule Microsoft_VC90_OpenMP_x86.msm an the other with vcredist.exe.
On Vista 32\64 sidebyside errors appears after product with mergemodule is uninstalled.
The other product still left on the machine can not launch.
If I add the binary value in registry 9.0.30729.1=1 it starts working.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide\Winners\x86_microsoft.vc90.OpenMP_....
VCredist.exe is installing vcomp90.dll 9.0.21022.8 and mergemodule 9.0.30729.1 ?
Has anyone seen this problem?

9.0.21022.8 is the RTM version. Did you get the right vcredist_x86.exe from http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en?
