Installshield freezes on ME?

I have an installation package for my software and my installation package runs fine on Windows 2000 and all other platforms but on Windows ME it gets to 100% and freezes then when the computer is restarted the iKernel.exe stops responding and has to be shut down via CTRL-ALT-DEL and then when my software is run for the first time I get a "object can't be created" message because a particular Self-Registerable .ocx couldn't be registered.

Did you try registering the object in question manually in ME using regsvr32 (i.e. Start/Run/regsvr32 XXXX.ocx) ? I know 95 original and 95a had problems galore with registering .OCX files so perhaps this one has problems in ME.
