MSI installer on windows Vista is giving admin privileges error. In MSI installer there are some custom actions that are adding key to registry and moving/deleting folders. I am getting error for these custom actions I did some investigation on this and found that I need to make them deferred otherwise they will be executed with standard user privileges. I cannot make all custom actions deferred there are some actions that need to be executed after “InstallFinalize”. Please let me know if there is any solution to get around this problem.

The only option then would be to run the whole install (including the UI sequence) elevated, using a setup.exe.
