If you want to install two instances of the same application on one machine, you need two msi files with different product codes. This is how Microsoft designed the Windows Installer, and also the reason why MS ships some of their applications with a set of 16 almost identical msi files.
But what append with a patch, how can i know wich patch my customer sould install, if i have 16 versions of my product ? For me,all client have one installation for real use, and one installation for upgrades test for example ?
Thank you for your help, it's a very important problem for me. I could'nt have one install of my application on one server.
