On my windows 2000 machine, everything works fine. However, when the same installer is run on the XP machine, no registry entry is made at
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\<PRODUCT_GUID>
subsequently, the program does not appear in the Add/Remove applet.
Does anyone know why this is? I have changed the DISK1DIR variable, but it should still works. Afterall, it does on 2000.

And you are using IS 6.31 in order to properly support Windows XP, right? You also have Windows XP as a valid OS in the project settings, right?

No, I wouldn't say I assume too much. If I had I wouldn't have asked those initial questions.
